Six short films, showcasing new talent in the fields of Directing and Writing for Irish language Drama.

The overall theme of the six short films is Clann (family or tribe). Each film deals with the concept of family, and adapts to screen an original script celebrating emerging Irish writing talent.

Each film is an independent story and although the telling of these stories ranges from dark to humourous to bizarre, each film presents an intense journey of discovery for the central character. SÍOL explores the many aspects of the family and the role of the family unit in modern Irish society.

Each film promises compelling viewing, raw drama and the exciting prospect of emerging Irish talent.

The first of the six short films “Náire” will be broadcast on TG4  on Monday 8th March at 10.00 p.m.
